My name is Julia Calo. I am the owner of this salon and also a Curl Specialist. I went to school at Northern Michigan University, where I studied cosmetology. I started this salon because I saw a need for a safe space for natural hair in the Milwaukee community. At Curly Hair Extraordinaire, I strive to build a platform where anyone with curly/textured hair can receive a magical experience that will simplify hair care routines, have your curls properly catered to, and receive the education on what would best enhance your curly hair journey. Maintaining this close knit community is my beauty dream, where everyone can explore their confidence and feel safe being themselves.

My name is Lexi and I am a licensed cosmetologist. I went to school at Vici Beauty school located in Greenfield Wisconsin where I learned color, styling techniques, and haircuts. I provide curly cuts, color, deep conditioning, styling, and education tailored to each client’s curls. Since being apart of Curly Hair Extraordinaire I have received advanced curl education from Innersense and Forever Curls. My beauty dream is to teach women and men how to take care and love their natural curls.

My name is Amirah and I am a cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell The School. I have a passion for all types of hair coloring and helping people embrace their natural hair. My goal is to create a welcoming space where clients of all ages, genders, and hair types feel seen, celebrated, and confident. My beauty dream is to help guide every curly person through their natural hair journey with easy and confidence so they can truly be themselves.
